  • A huge open-air market spanning three blocks, featuring 200+ local vendors (farmers, artisans, food trucks, etc.), with live music and free community yoga at 9 AM.

  • Admission is free and it runs every Saturday through Sept 13.

  • A free, family-friendly community event to raise awareness for vulnerable community members, with local vendors, food trucks, music, and games.

  • Bring the whole family out for a “RAD day” of fun for a good cause.

  • Sun Aug 31, 7:00–9:00 PM @ Ogden Botanical Gardens

  • Overdose Awareness Day event featuring the unveiling of a new remembrance garden, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, naloxone training, and a celebration of resilience in recovery.

  • This candlelight vigil is free and open to all ages to honor those affected by overdose.

  • Fri Aug 29, 8:00–10:00 AM @ Ogden Nature Center

  • Join ONC staff in restoring native habitat by removing invasive weeds. Tools are provided; volunteers should wear outdoor work attire.

  • Ages 16+ can participate (free; registration required).

Sports & Recreation

  • A season-long challenge by Trails Foundation of Northern Utah to summit 4 iconic peaks (Malans, Lewis, Mt. Ogden & Ben Lomond) between now and Oct 14.

  • Sign up ($30, dogs $20) to bag as many peaks as you can – earn a unique sticker for each summit and a prize if you complete all four.

  • Drop in for some friendly pickleball! This morning session at Mt. Ogden Pickleball Courts welcomes all skill levels for casual games.

Family & Kids

  • An interactive nature program for kids and families. Learn about the mammals of Utah and the Great Basin by examining skulls and pelts, then take a short guided walk to see live deer on the Nature Center grounds.

  • Program is free for ONC members; otherwise $6 adults / $4 kids (kids 2 and under free).

Civic Engagement

  • Council members will meet for their weekly work session to discuss city business prior to the regular meeting.

  • Open to the public (in the 3rd floor conference room).

  • The official City Council meeting where ordinances, budgets, and local issues are decided.

  • Held in Council Chambers (3rd floor of City Hall); public comments are typically welcome at the designated time if you arrive early to sign up.

  • The Landmarks Commission will hold a public meeting to discuss historic preservation and landmark sites in Ogden.

  • If you’re interested in local history, architecture, or preservation efforts, these meetings are open to all residents.
